A generic Canadian edition, this textbook covers all aspects of the driving task from pre-driving habits to driver and owner responsibilities while taking into account the latest vehicle technology and regulations.

3-D computer generated graphics are used to vividly illustrate the textbook in order to facilitate comprehension of the material.  Generic highway code standards for the Canadian provinces excluding Québec are presented.

Emphasis is placed on distractions, fatigue, sharing the road, etc. Vehicle manoeuvres are segmented and illustrated to facilitate learning. The textbook is divided into 22 chapters with performance objectives and reviews included in each chapter.
